What we want you to know first
Viscose weakens when wet and can yellow, shrink or lose its sheen if it's cleaned wrong or dries slowly. Even when it's done right, results vary. We inspect first, tell you what we see, and won't promise what the fiber can't deliver.

Pickup & delivery orders have a $250 minimum. Drop-off (by appointment) has no minimum — you pay straight per-square-foot pricing. Getting into a building, checking in, and moving equipment between our van and your unit takes extra time and effort, so all apartment and condo buildings have a $500 minimum for any service.

What we actually do to your rug
Check-in and inspection
Each rug is logged on its own line with photos, and any existing damage, stains or wear is noted before we touch it. We also check dye stability on every rug so we use the right products.
Dry dusting
Dry soil hides deep at the base of the pile. We remove it before water goes on, so you don't end up with muddy rinse water.
Wash
Your rug is washed on our raised rug wash floor, not spot-cleaned in place.
Rinse and extract
It's rinsed thoroughly and spun in our centrifuge, which pulls out most of the water so it dries faster and cleaner.
Climate-controlled drying
Rugs dry in our temperature-controlled drying room so they're completely dry when you get them back.
Final inspection and return
We check the results, then roll your rug and band it with shrink wrap. It comes back to you (or is ready for pickup) rolled and banded. We only wrap a rug fully for long-term storage.

Between cleanings: Vacuum gently with suction only and no beater bar. Blot spills right away with a dry white cloth and don't scrub. Keep it away from moisture, pet-accident zones and direct sun.

Questions
Is viscose the same as silk?
No. Viscose is a man-made fiber made from plant cellulose. It looks like silk but is far more water-sensitive and much less durable.
Can viscose rugs be cleaned at all?
Yes, carefully. We inspect first, and if we think washing isn't a good idea for your rug, we'll tell you.
Will my viscose rug yellow or shrink?
It can. We control how the rug is washed and dry it thoroughly and quickly in our drying room to lower the risk, but it can't be zero. We tell you what we see at intake.
Will you tell me before washing if there's a problem?
Yes. Existing damage is documented with photos at intake, and we tell you what to expect.
Can you remove stains?
Fresh spills, often. Old stains may lighten but not disappear.
Why is it shedding?
It's normal for viscose, especially when the fibers are loosening or worn.
Will you get pet urine out?
