What it costs
Priced by length × width, with no extra charge for cleaning fringe. No deposit required — you get a written quote first, and you pay when the job is finished.
This price is for machine-made wool. Hand-knotted wool is $6.00/sqft.

Pickup & delivery orders have a $250 minimum. Drop-off (by appointment) has no minimum — you pay straight per-square-foot pricing. Getting into a building, checking in, and moving equipment between our van and your unit takes extra time and effort, so all apartment and condo buildings have a $500 minimum for any service.

What we actually do to your rug
Check-in and inspection
Each rug is logged on its own line with photos, and any existing damage, stains or wear is noted before we touch it. We also check dye stability on every rug so we use the right products.
Dry dusting
Dry soil hides deep at the base of the pile. We remove it before water goes on, so you don't end up with muddy rinse water.
Wash
Your rug is washed on our raised rug wash floor, not spot-cleaned in place.
Rinse and extract
It's rinsed thoroughly and spun in our centrifuge, which pulls out most of the water so it dries faster and cleaner.
Climate-controlled drying
Rugs dry in our temperature-controlled drying room so they're completely dry when you get them back.
Final inspection and return
We check the results, then roll your rug and band it with shrink wrap. It comes back to you (or is ready for pickup) rolled and banded. We only wrap a rug fully for long-term storage.

Between cleanings: Vacuum regularly with suction only, since beater bars can pull and fuzz wool. Rotate the rug now and then to even out wear and sun. Blot spills, don't rub, and avoid household carpet-cleaning products. Shedding is normal, especially on newer rugs.

Questions
Will my wool rug shrink or the colors run?
Wool can shrink or bleed if it's handled wrong, with too much heat, harsh products or rough scrubbing. That's why we wash gently, and we check dye stability on every rug so we use the right products. If the colors bleed, we adjust.
Why does wool smell when it's wet?
Natural wool can smell earthy when damp. It goes away once the rug is fully dry, and we dry every rug completely in our drying room.
Is shedding normal?
Yes. Loose fibers come off wool rugs, especially new ones, and vacuuming helps. It doesn't mean the rug is failing.
Will washing help with moths?
A clean rug is less attractive to moths, especially in storage, because dirt and body oils are what they feed on. If you already have moth damage, washing can't repair it. See Rug & Cushion Storage.
Can wool rugs be steam cleaned?
Heat and steam on your floor can damage wool and leave it damp for days. Washing and drying at our facility avoids both.
Will you get pet urine out?
